Bristol Black Carers CEO Is Recognised as BEM

Our CEO, Anndeloris Chacon, has been recognised as a Medallist of the Order of the British Empire for services to Charity and to the community in Bristol. in His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours List 2023. 🎖

Anndeloris has been recognised for her exceptional contributions to the local community. Her dedication to healthcare and community support has made a significant impact throughout her remarkable career.

Anndeloris played a pivotal role in establishing the cardiac catheterization laboratory and the introduction of open-heart surgery in Trinidad and Tobago. Her tenure as the Sickle Cell and Thalassemia Clinical Coordinator showcased her commitment to improving care of those affected by these conditions.

She has been the CEO of Bristol Black Carers since 2015, and has successfully revitalised the charity, ensuring crucial support for carers and their families in providing services to meet their needs.

Her advocacy work and representation of underrepresented voices have earned her numerous awards, including the esteemed British Empire Medal (BEM).

Anndeloris' legacy as a compassionate healthcare professional and community advocate will continue to inspire others.
